Commercial Sectional Doors

There are many advantages sectional garage doors have over other types of overhead doors. This includes better insulation value, better weather protection, cheaper repair and replacement costs, as well as many more design options.

When choosing a commercial sectional garage door, there a several things to take into consideration. First, the panel design or aesthetics of the door. There are a wide range of options and configurations to choose from. For most commercial applications this is not an important factor but check out our residential door page for panel options.

Second is the type of insulation value you need. A generic storage facility may be fine with a completely hollow door with no installation value. Mechanic shops on the other hand, may want something that is steel back and foam injected for an increase in climate control energy savings.

The amount of natural light is another factor. Sectional garage doors have many options concerning window placement and size. Pick something that fits your situation.

Finally their is the type of operation. A hollow door may be fine with manual or chain hoist operation. For larger or highly used doors, we recommend the installation of an electric opener as well.

So, check out our options below and contact us with any questions you may have!

Insulated Sandwich

For the best insulation value and durability, insulated sandwich doors are the way to go. They contain either polyurethane or polystyrene insulation sandwiched between two steel sheets. This layering protects the insulation while giving the door extra rigidity The result is a solid door with good R-value.

Ribbed Steel

For more basic needs, a ribbed steel garage door will do fine. Although these doors can be insulated, the insulation is not as affective. The insulation panels are also exposed and vulnerable to damage. Ribbed steel doors are typically non-insulated and are excellent when your need an economical solution for your opening.

Full-View Aluminum

Full-View Aluminum garage doors are for made of full pains of glass set in aluminum frames. They are traditionally used in fire houses and car dealerships where visibility is needed. In addition to being tinted or frosted, the glass can also be insulated as needed.
